Upload files with SFTP (FileZilla or WinSCP)

The panel’s Files page is fine for small files. For worlds, modpacks or many files, SFTP is faster.

Your SFTP login

In the game panel, open your server and go to Settings. Under SFTP Details you find:

• Server address, like sftp://node.thexhosting.com:2022
• Username, like yourname.a1b2c3d4
• Password: the same as your panel password

Connect with FileZilla

1. Install FileZilla (the client, not the server).
2. Fill in the bar at the top: Host sftp:// + the address, Username, Password, Port 2022.
3. Click Quickconnect and accept the server key the first time.
4. Drag files from the left (your PC) to the right (your server).

WinSCP works the same way: choose SFTP as the protocol.

Stop the server before replacing a world folder, so it doesn’t overwrite your upload when it saves.
