FAQ
Server type quiz FAQ
What is the difference between Paper and Spigot?
Paper is built on Spigot and runs the same plugins, but it is faster and fixes many bugs. There is no good reason to pick Spigot for a new server.
Can I run plugins and mods on the same server?
Only with “hybrid” software, and it breaks often. Many mods have a mod version of the plugins you want (LuckPerms, spark, Chunky), so pick one side.
Can I change the server type later?
Yes, from the Game panel. Back up first: going from Forge to Paper (or back) does not keep modded blocks and items.
