Let Bedrock players join with Geyser

Install Geyser on your Java server so friends on phones, Windows and consoles can play with you. Takes about five minutes.

Geyser is a free plugin that lets Bedrock players (phone, Windows 10/11, consoles) join your Java server. It needs a Paper or Purpur server.

1. Add a second port

Bedrock uses its own (UDP) port.

  1. In the panel, open Network.
  2. Click Create Allocation. Note the new port number, for example 25572.

2. Install Geyser (and Floodgate)

  1. Download Geyser-Spigot from geysermc.org.
  2. Optional but recommended: download Floodgate from the same page. With Floodgate, Bedrock players don’t need a Java account.
  3. Upload both .jar files to the plugins folder and restart.

3. Set the port

  1. Open plugins/Geyser-Spigot/config.yml.
  2. Under bedrock:, set port: to your new port (for example 25572).
  3. If you installed Floodgate, under remote: set auth-type: floodgate.
  4. Save and restart.

4. Join from Bedrock

Bedrock players add a server with your IP address and the Geyser port from step 1. Bedrock doesn’t support addresses without a port, so they always need both.

On Xbox, PlayStation and Switch you can’t add servers directly. Apps like BedrockTogether help console players join.
